Why do we gather on Sunday? Why do we do the things we do when we gather? Is going to church on the Lord’s Day just some rote activity we do as Christians, or does something more glorious and profound take place? Our Worship
Does God care how we worship him? Has he given us any instruction about how his people are to worship? Most certainly! When God’s people gather together on the Lord’s Day for worship, they come to meet with their God in a unique way. They come to be shaped by his Word and have his covenant renewed with them. They come to have all the glorious promises of the Gospel stamped on their souls once again.
